I just got to shot a friends Krebs Custom AK in 5.45X39mm. Never thought an AK was worth that much money, but what a nice battle rifle. Breaking sporting clays at 100 yards not problem sitting with EoTech and what a nice trigger! Easy to keep on target during rapid fire drills.

I used to be in the same boat with respect to the cost of AK variants, but like you, I have come to discover that rifles like the Krebs and some of the Arsenal Inc. AKs are well worth the higher price tag. As with all things...you get what you pay for!!

Congrats on your Krebs...put some pics up when you have a chance. Between you and Mark Gordon...somebody is gonna cost me some @#$% money and soon!!

I have owned a few Krebs and the quality is second to none.

can be if you have a nice arsenal brand with a milled receiver. I had one about 4 years ago, but sold it... Kicking myself for selling it, but then again....... i doubled my money and shot the hell out of the rifle... better investment than my 401k!!!

most of the bad reputation of the AK is from guys buying the cheapest romy POS type WASR's and shooting that crappy wolff ammo through it. the milspecs AK with good surpus ammo are way more accurate than those and Krebs are a few steps above all others.

'Mil-spec' AK??? I love the Kalashnikov platform, but Im fairly confident there is no such thing as a mil spec AK. There are however 'quality' AK's that hold better tolerances. Jim Fuller, Mark Krebs, and Mark Graham make 'quality' AK's.
