Marlin 60's came in. Bullpup conversions

Re: Marlin 60's came in. Bullpup conversions

im getting rid of the wood stocks and doing bullpup conversions

Re: Marlin 60's came in. Bullpup conversions

95% DONE!

At the moment its fitted perfectly with no movement of the action/barrel of the Marlin 60.
I bought some Kydex and will be cutting out shapes to cover up the gap around the ejection port.
Used a 10/22 flash hider. I need to dremel off part of the bottom part so the tube can freely slide in and out
I'm not using the Marlin 60 trigger housing.
M4 magazine is fake. I'll be using some fake PMAGs with the fake bullets showing through the window.

All is left is the trigger linkage using a 1/8 steel tubular rod. This is the hardest part.
I'll be hooking it up to the action of the Marlin 60.

Re: Marlin 60's came in. Bullpup conversions

yes! finished my first bullpup conversion! i literally spent like 7-8 hours just on the trigger linkage. this one was tough because the TAR21 doesnt split in half. a bunch of trial, error and frustration but i finally got it done.

ill be doing a test fire this week to see how it holds up.

its also heavy even though the stock is made of polymer plastic.

im working on the L85 next.

Re: Marlin 60's came in. Bullpup conversions

Sooooo you spent about $1250 turning some expensive junk into....junk. I have heard of gold plating a turd, but turd coated turds are a new one on me.

I am sure the Hide's resident teenagers are jerking off to this shit, but for many here we don't care about this kind of garbage.

Re: Marlin 60's came in. Bullpup conversions

I saw "turd coated turds" and had to look. Fake mags with fake bullets in the windows, don't see those everyday. Not here anyhow

Wow, nice stomp. While you may not have the same taste in weapons, there was no need to be a dick about it.

Re: Marlin 60's came in. Bullpup conversions

You are right I apologize. The Marlin 60 is a great firearm and a hell of a bargain. Putting a toy airsoft stock on one, is a terrible abortion of garage gunsmithing.

You are correct 1911 I do not share an affinity for turning firearms into toys. I daresay many of the people on this forum do not share this taste either. I am sure they would eat it up on an airsoft forum though.

Re: Marlin 60's came in. Bullpup conversions

DUUUUUUUUUUDE! That's so cool man! I'm inspired to make something like that TAR21 myself! Very cool!

Re: Marlin 60's came in. Bullpup conversions

check some of DEFCON's previous posts, you'll see some really interesting stuff he puts together out of 10/22's, xt's, mkii's etc.
