Anybody done this? Cases are suppose to be essentially the same diameter, OAL is a little different but it seems like it should work just as well as .223/5.56mm. In the process of converting my .308 Savage into .300 AAC BLK. Might go detachable mag route with a McRee chassis.

Those Poly AICS .223 conversion Mags. that go into the AICS .308 Mag.Well Work really well when feeding the .300blk/30-221 cartridge .
I have had ZERO problems with feeding out the XLR SA .308 chassis using them .

We've had good luck with a few Blackout/Whisper builds with the .223 AICS mags.

I was having feeding problems with the factory floor plate on my 700 in 300/221 swapped to a CDi bottom metal and AICS .223 mags and have not had a single problem with my 220SMKs or 110vmax loads.
