I'm trying to get a friends action bedded quick and cheap, next weekend is deer season. I'm thinking of a single stage TPU from O'reillys, I've also read stuff about JB Weld. Any suggestions on either or these or other options I don't have to order?

Re: TPU for bedding

Why would you want to half ass something that you could spend about $20 more and do a quality job? If you want to go that cheap and fast just use a torque wrench on action bolts. That will most likely give you better results than doing a poor job.

Re: TPU for bedding

I don't want to half ass it, that's why I asked for advice. He wants it done before next weekend with time to get used to the new stock. Obviously ordering something from the interweb would eat up time. I'll try a marine supply. Thanks

Re: TPU for bedding

You may also want to try any local Graingers. They may have some or even some Devcon.
