Just got my chassis/stock deal in from mcree precision and feel the need to gloat. By its cost comparison to other systems I had my doubts, but this thing is great. Flawless machining, coating on it seems tough (I've already put it in some situations that would have scratched bad coating). Over all it's just a great deal. Don't have but 13 rounds with it and more or less just working with my new barrel but it performed wonderfully.
The people there were great too and Mr. Mcree stayed in contact and gave me his honest opinion on a few decisions I had to make on it.
Heres a pic. Mind the cheap bi pod and bushnell 10x. I wanted a bipod on it quick and I wanna get consistent with a 10x scope and use to long range shooting before i spend the serious money on a scope.

Definitely one of the few times in my life where I don't regret spending money. Beyond happy with it

Re: mcree precision

Its the savage 10 fp sr in 308. I decided I wanted to do kind of a budget rifle build. I got the gun on gun broker for 491.00, the scope on sale with a rebate for 125, the buffer tube and stock used for around 100, then the mcree was 450. Odds and ends like the weaver rail and rings are getting upgraded later on.

It's definitely worth the wait. I called and was gonna impatiently order one of the old styles with the trigger guard gap but Mr. Mcree told me that the new style would be out soon and advised me to wait. I'm glad I did.

Up to 50 rounds through it today. With a bad mirage and some heavy wind it was putting them in the inch square consistently @ 200+/- yards. At 352 yards (measured 0.2 miles with the truck lol) I could consistently put it on a 10"x10" target. Couldn't get it dialed in or really work with it as thats the farthest shot i could find and the sun was glaring perfectly through my scope. Hopefully be getting a range finder and a spotting scope to help the situation. The long range bug has bit.

Re: mcree precision

i have 2, but not a fan of black, since it will get to about 450 sitting in the sun

Re: mcree precision

Scott talked me out of black, went with OD, for just that reason.

They are great stocks. I was in the same position as you scared I made the wrong decision by trying to save money and buy a Mcree I could not have been more wrong. The chassis is built like a tank and fitment was perfect. I know some people don't like the looks but I think the Mcree looks pretty good.
