Ive tried to look up some info on this and Ive found one mention of it in the DTA thread said it was close, but nothing further or definitive. I just purchased a new DTA SRS .338 and am mounting a S&B PMll 5-25x56 on it. I purchased the Spuhr mount with a 44.4 MOA built in. My question is, will the 56MM Bell housing clear the rail? If it does, I also ordered the S&B sunshade, anyone use this with the Spuhr and will that clear?

The Spuhr mount I ordered was: Spuhr ISMS 34mm, 44.4 MOA, 1.46" height.

If anyone with this setup or has some insight on this matter, I'd really like to know! Since its already ordered, if its not gonna work, i guess Im SOL and need to order the right stuff accordingly.

Thank you!

For what it's worth... (As I'm not sure how height is assigned to a canted base).

Lets say your scope is centered in that mount... the bell housing (based on the length of the scope) will only dip down ~2.8mm below that 37mm mounting height. (assuming 37mm is the height of the center of the tube @ center of the mount).

The height of that mount is 37mm...
1/2 of your bell housing is 28mm...
Scope is 416.5mm long..............

37-2.8=34.2 34.2>28= I think it will fit.

As for the sun-shade, I donno, and if it doesn't fit, just put an ARD on it.

So you read the DTA thread...Why didn't you ask on the DTA thread instead of staring a new one?

Here is a scetch and the distance betwen rail and scope is almost 2,5mm (1/10")

Hakan,

Thank you! Great answer.

In case I need something similar for a 35mm scope (Vortex Razor), would Spuhr have a mount (say 40 MOA) like the one you showed?

Tnx!

Re: DTA SRS/Spuhr 44.4 MOA mount/ S&B PMll 5-25x56??

We Have only a 0 and 20 Moa in 35mm
But a Vortex on 20 Moa would give you approx 24 mils of elevation.
