Well I just posted about a rifle, rings, base and bottom metal I had done months ago and needless to say I received the rifle back and very unsatisfied. Unfortunately I have been moving around a lot with the Marine Corps and wasn't able to look at the rifle until I got back home several months after it had already been returned so I am out of luck sending it back.
Long story short, rings and base don't even look coated, if they were it was the wrong color. I received the barreled action back with a nickle size blemish on the end of the barrel and the bolt knob had a spot that was chipped down to the aluminum. I am assuming it was either not noticed in the shop or caused by the terrible packing it was sent back in.

Anyways, I need someone good who knows what they are doing. Any recommendations? I have a lot of my hard earned money into my rifle and am a bit of a perfectionist. Anyone who knows someone who they can highly recommend and won't cost an arm and a leg since I am already out $160 would be great. Thanks guys.

Most applicators going price for a barreled action to include rings, and bottom metal is around $225.00. Plenty of guys here that build precision rifles that know how to handle them so you can end up with a good job and no damage. Short Action Customs is another great shop to deal with. Best of luck, and sorry to hear you ran into bad service.

+1 on Jon Beanland. Jon is a super nice guy and a perfectionist also. As was previously stated, their may be a few as good as Jon, but none better!
