I've never used one of those but why not consider a tripod and cradle from Precision Rifle Solutions. Here's an article I wrote up about PRS and some of their products:

The large PRS tripod is about 2 1/2 pounds, folds up to 20", and it'll easily go from prone to standing height supporting even a heavy tactical rifle. The costs are pretty similar but Danel, the owner of PRS, is a stand up dude and I can't recommend his stuff enough.

The PRS runs about $130.

I am and so far I like it a lot. They are very robust and simple as hell.
