Re: Balls of TITANIUM
Love the Isle of Man videos, also the Caldwell park ones as well. I grew up thinking this stuff was crazy, and pointless, and wondering why people did it.
Now I stare and marvel at the accomplishment of these guys just gridding up - it's amazing. I have had one track day so far on my R6 and not only do I appreciate how skilled these guys are, but also that they represent the idea that the human spirit will always strive for something more. We weren't happy enough going 5 mph, so we went 10. Then we weren't happy going 10, so we went 50. Then we went 180+ through narrow town streets. What will we do next? My hats off to everyone who strives for doing more than we did before. It takes passion, courage, maybe a little bit of ignorance, and a whole lot of dedication.
As an aside, I would take this course if there was nobody else on it, and I'd go no more than half as fast as these guys the entire time. I scared the heck out of myself with headshake at about 40 mph. These guys are landing jumps at four times that speed on sometimes crappy pavement.
