Just got this a few weeks ago- been to the range 3 times. It appears that brass like shavings have made their way under the rear lense...

Is this common?

Just because your boyfriend likes it when you wear thigh high garters... this isnt the place to tell us bout his fetishes....

Re: HDMR issue-

Loose anodizing/coating inside the scope, seems excessive thought. Good trick is to remove it from the base, give it a few firm whacks on a semi hard surface, phone beek works great. Your most likely going to need to send it in to get it all removed, or they may just replace it.

Re: HDMR issue-

Looks to me like the chromordial aborigines are trying to get out of your scope.

Don't take offense to graham, he is old and thinks circulation assisting socks are the in thing

Re: HDMR issue-

This sucks. At the price of this scope i thought the buy once cry once phrase applied to this thing!

Re: HDMR issue-

Mine has the exact same problem, I am about to send it to Bushnell.

The shavings in my scope used to look just like the ones in your picture, but have since broken down into smaller dust-like particles. The scope has gotten darker and murkier as a result, which is particularly noticeable in low light conditions.

Re: HDMR issue-

That sucks. All my lenses are coated in bertrillium-zantitium so I can avoid that very issue.

And just so you know, black ankle socks are all the rage now, not white. Time to hit Walmart to stock up.

Re: HDMR issue- EGAD!!

I'm waiting 'til March to get the illuminated reticle version HDMR.

I HOPE to hell they have learned to assemble CLEAN scopes by then. JUDAS!

This makes me concerned that my Bushnell Fusion 10 X 42 LRF binos hold up well. So far very good.

Re: HDMR issue- EGAD!!

Where did you see they plan on producing an illuminated version? I was thinking about getting one of these soon-ish, but I'd wait for an illuminated version.
