So I just bought two different suppressors in the last week. Initially I was planning on filing them at the same time, but I think I can start filing one right away and the other Is still being made and them needs to be transferred.

Is there some kind of disadvantage to filing them under my trust at different times (1 two months after the other). I understand that people add items to the trust Everytime they buy another NFA item, but the reason I'm not so clear on this is since the trust will technically have an NFA item already by the time they get around to the second one, so it won't be correct that it's only property is the 1 us dollar.

Just update your trust as you would if they were 5 years apart, it won't matter that both are in transfer with overlapping times.

Do you actually think they would process both forms at the same time if they were sent in the same envelope! Nooooo . . . . this is government. Each form will be handled individually with no consideration of the form in front or behind it.

I send all my paperwork in separately - that way they can only lose one form (I hope).

They keep all that come in together, together.

If you separate them they will be batched however the mail dropped at the bank.

If you mail them together they are paperclipped together and travel through the system together.

Over the years I sent them in in pairs and separate and the pairs are sent back approved same day in the same envelope and the separate ones were approved at different times, one was approved 1 month after the other, both mailed the same day.

Yeah I get where you are coming from on the Government being able to fuck a wet dream but if you send in two at the same time, they will both be approved at the same time unless one some how gets separated from the other.

They must have improved the system. Many years ago I imported a bunch of guns and sent in all the forms at once. I think I had three different examiners with wildly different opinions approve/deny the forms.

I'm still skeptical - it being the government and all.

Got it. Thanks guys. I will file separately and get one sooner than the other, hopefully!

I have sent in many pairs of Form 1s and 4s at the same time and I get them back together in the same time it would take to do one. I have a pair in now that I should get back around the Vernal Equinox.
