Can these devices be calibrated? or a better question is can/do they fall out of alignment where it does read exactly true and if they do can they be calibrated to true it up and how do you do it?
the device i am referring to is the:
Badger ACI Assembly Prt# 306-73A

Re: Badger Angle Cosine Indicator

Yes, they can be "reset" to 0.

To do this is simple. First, set your rifle so the bore / barrel is level to the ground. Then loosen the flat head screw on the side of the ACI. Rotate the ACI so the line is at 0 and re-tighten the screw.

I check mine when I clean the bore but haven't had a problem with it coming loose.

Re: Badger Angle Cosine Indicator

By calibrated do you mean that you can change the ZERO? Yes, they can change the ZERO. Take a level and put it on the action. Use a minus screw driver and unscrew the set screw on the ACI and set it to ZERO when the level says the action is lever. Very easy. I have not had it "fall out of alignment" so I don't think that is an issue.
