DPX makes some good blades, Its always a toss up if Im going to carry the Chris Reeve, or the DPX HEST folder.

Nice, I really like the profile!

Re: DPx knives- got a new one

BigJoe what's your take on the Hest original?

This thread has inspired me to pick up a new piece of kit.... I'll be using it for the occasional deer/fish and general knife usage.

thanks for the feedback.

Re: DPx knives- got a new one

All their stuff is really nice and their warranty is really good. Good peeps there

Re: DPx knives- got a new one

I'm on the fence.... buy a HEST right now or invest in a blank and shape/build my own knife.

Re: DPx knives- got a new one

Very cool knife! How does she cut? How would you say it compares to say a strider, swamp rat, or for budget an ESEE.

I wonder how hard they are running it. On the site it says less than 59HRC and then if you click more details it says 61HRC? Thats a hell of a difference in performance. Hope yours is 61:) that would be awesome.

Re: DPx knives- got a new one

all three of my knives from them have been awesome, they are local here. i actually had a good bit of input on a couple of their models, this one in particular. its a hard use blade for sure, some of the striders and swamp rats are too thick for my taste. although both are great knives. i like to try everything and for the money these are another great option from a new company that really is trying to put out really good stuff.

Re: DPx knives- got a new one

I might have to add one of these to the list, damn this place is always costing me money! Got to love that warranty too.

Thanks for posting this Joe, always good to see some nice knives
