Yes, I searched on here and searched using google. I searched on savageshooters.com. I even searched on the Savage website and found the "manual" but still cannot find the "torque spec" for the 5/32 allen screws (found the screw size...) that hold the action to the chassis on my 10BA-LE rifle. I have not removed it yet, but need to soon to drill and tap the forend for a 2" rail section to mount an Atlas bipod...
Does anyone know where I can find this torque spec info? Is there a "procedure" for reinstalling the action? The manual just said to get the screws started, then place the rifle on the buttstock and push the barrel down to seat it in the "recoil lug", then tighten the front (top) screw first. I am getting .7 to .5 moa with it now (or better with my handloads .5-.3 moa) and don't want to screw it up... I only have 500 rounds through it so far.
Thanks!
