Re: Wyatts Detachable Mag need info

It's a cheap and easy way to run a detachable mag system. Dosent require any inletting on factory r700 stocks. IMO it's better than the factory r700 bottom metal. Having owned one I would probably not buy one again. I did buy mine used for the for sale section and then sold it for the same price so it worked out well for a temporary DBM that ended up costing nothing.

Re: Wyatts Detachable Mag need info

I wouldn't consider $300 bucks cheap. I think it is a good setup. I like mine and it feeds my 6.5 nicely.
It is also the only one that we found would work for 300 RUM when running the long pills.

Re: Wyatts Detachable Mag need info

Look at the M4 DBM configurations from Stockysstocks.com they are durable and a nice drop in system that doesn't usually require stock modifications unless you are running an Ultra Mag or .338

Re: Wyatts Detachable Mag need info

I ran a .338 Ultra Mag with a Wyatt's drop mag that held 9 rounds of RUM ammo. It was kind of klunky but it worked well. I never had a malfunction with the system. I currently run AI mag set ups. I find them more universal.

Re: Wyatts Detachable Mag need info

I have the 223 model and it is almost impossible to load all 10 rounds. When shooting pdogs I end up just single loading because the wyatts mag is hard to load and difficult to get it clipped back into the gun.

Re: Wyatts Detachable Mag need info

The fact the long action magazine has a COL of 3.700" is pretty impressive. Would be great for a 30/06 with some long seated SMK's or Bergers.

Mine too. I bought it mainly because it was hard to put rounds into the internal mag due to the one piece Warne base that I installed.
