Im wanting to get a muzzle brake for my 6.5-284 and my 260 rem. Im wanting a surefire muzzle brake. I would have to get the 30 cal because surefire doesn't make a 6.5 mm. Do i need to get a 6.5 mm muzzle brake or will a 30 cal muzzle brake work just as good as a 6.5mm muzzle brake. Also would yall recommend some 6.5 mm muzzle brakes. I would appreciate the info. thank yall

Re: muzzle brake info

I would recommend a regular side/top ported brake like a Badger Thruster or a less expensive version made by Ross Shuler. I am not a fan of Surefire brakes. I think they look horrible on a nice custom rifle, but to each their own. A .30 cal brake will work fine for your 6.5mm, but if you get a brake from Ross he can put whatever size hole in it your need.

Re: muzzle brake info

Ya i like the badger thruster brakes. If i don't get a surefire i think i will probably get the Badger thruster. the only reason i might get a surefire is because later on i might get a supressor.

Re: muzzle brake info

.308 brakes work just fine on .260, top ported brakes offer nothing than a standard 3 port sides does.
cheers.
