Bitter Sweet Buck!!!
My little brother took this guy Thursday with my GAP 308. I have been watching this buck for awhile and was my top target. He said he wasn't sure if he hit him and could not find a blood trail. I went by his info and did not see a sign. Today after beating the buzzards off him here it is. He was about 30 yards from where my brother was looking. This my brothers first buck.

Remington PSS, McMillan stock, Good glass. Everybody laughed at why I was hunting with heavy, long barreled rifle...I had the last laugh.

6.5 I had it cut from 24 back to 18. Still shoots great and gets to 1000. Gonna miss it when my .260 barrel comes in and I'm up to 26.

Remington 5r milspec .308
All shot with 178 gr AMax

Built by Kevin Rayhill
7mm rem mag
154 gr. SST
Waiting on my stock still to get built to drop it in to finish the build. Having a left hand thumb hole with a right hand bolt built by Kevin. Also it wears a Vortex viper HS LR with egw base and burris steel tactical rings now. These deer were taken right after I got the gun back.

Same gun 162 gr. AMax.

This dog came over the hill after my first call in just about four minutes. He kept coming down the hill and stopped, turned around facing away from me and then layed down when he reached the dirt road.

Lugged this tactical pig around on my Elk hunt last year.....

My 6.5x284 LR Blaser R93 and it's Carbon stocked and wrapped cousin have accounted for a lot of game and more than their share of long range prairie dogs.

And my truck/walking the property modified Tikka T3 Stainless had taken it's share of deer just because it's one that seems to always be with me when the season is on around here.

First deer ever shot opening day here in NY. Button Buck, 180gr Sellier & Bellot soft point did some damage from my Remmy 700 AAC @ 50 yards

My second deer ever. Not a monster by any means but a decent 7-point for east TN standards.

Rifle is a Remington 700 SPS Varmint with Bell & Carlson M40 Medalist stock, Weaver 3-15x50 EMDR scope. Load was handload .308 with 165 gr Hornady SST pushed by 42 grains of H4895.

Wish I could say that I has taken the shot at some great distance but he came out into a clearing just 30 yards from my stand.
