Lost in Idaho...
I have an RTS on the way, it should be here later this month, and I just cannot wait.

Please, if you have an Eliseo chassis, help a brother out with the excruciating wait and post some photos..

Thanks!

Re: Show off your Eliseo Chassis'

That looks very nice. What action is in there?

And only one person on here has an Eliseo? I find that kinda hard to believe.

Re: Show off your Eliseo Chassis'

The action is a stainless 700 SA.

Re: Show off your Eliseo Chassis'

I am really starting to like the tube guns. I really need to quit looking at this sight, I used to be happy with a $5-600 rifle lol.

It's 32". Dedicated to shooting F-Class.

Re: Show off your Eliseo Chassis'

We built this rifle for a customer a few months ago. He now holds several national F-Class records with it.

Action is a Pierce Engineering made specifically for the chassis. We glued the action in place and installed the barrels (this is a switch barrel setup) without using the recoil lug.

We have another build that should finish this week in an Eliseo and are about to barrel up another. Every one we've done has been an outstanding performer. I badly want one of these for myself.

Re: Show off your Eliseo Chassis'

That looks damn good.

One question I have though is why you glued the action in? The Eliseo chassis doesn't require the action to be glued, the recoil disc and tight tolerances seem to make the whole thing fit together as one unit already.

Re: Show off your Eliseo Chassis'

a god budddy of mine has one of those chassis with a pierce action and Benchmark barrel in 243 AI, it is a lazer.

20" 6.5x47
Defiance Mutant action

RTS chassis does not require action to be glued in unlike MAK tube gun, ask Gary about glue issue get info from horses mouth.
Not Needed

Re: Show off your Eliseo Chassis'

Just put my orders in with Gary and Pierce on a rtm in 284, just trying tofigure out if gluing it in is worth it, I was wondering if any of you guys have noticed any appreciable difference between gluing it or just running it with the screws?

John,
I run mine screws only, the idea of gluing it in is in my opinion, not needed. If you don't like the way it shoots with using only the action screw you could always glue it in later. Always worried about trying to disassemble it later if needed.

Re: Show off your Eliseo Chassis'

I guess I never posted mine when I got it huh? Well, here it is. Better late than never.

I run a shrewd brake on it and it adds a couple inches to the end of the muzzle. This is just the thread protector in place for now..
