Re: As good as it gets!!

what would you like to know? It is a Sauer 200 with a 2.5-10x56 Schmidt&Bender, it was purchased in Germany and a master woodworker there was hired to do the work. It has 3 calibers 243 30-06 and 9.3x62
I almost feel ashamed for letting it sit in the safe where noone can see it and appreciate it

oh I forgot to mention, she has a name. Dee-Dee Gore
and she has lived up to it too, it's been used to take an incredible amount of game..

That wood carving is amazing! You did the right thing by sharing her because she definitely should not be hid away in a safe for the rest of her days!

My father had a SAKO Finwolf customed stocked by a Herr Fuch in Germany in 1972.

That's wonderful family heirloom you have!

Re: As good as it gets!!

Very nice rifle you got there, some beautiful wood work.
It's not a Sauer 200 though, it's a 202.
The 200 (STR) is the reciever used in the SSG 3000.
Numbers are quite close yes, but there are some differences in the design.

Re: As good as it gets!!

That carving work would cost you ALL of $2000 to have done here in the States... I have been looking to have one done myself so I have a good handle on the costs...
