Wanting an adapter to use on my bolt action 22lr. I am going to use my .223 suppressor for a few months until my 22lr can gets approved. (please resist the temptation to tell me about how it isn't good to run a center fire can on a 22lr, I KNOW)

Anyone know of a place that sells this adapter?

What do you have that's threaded 1/2-24?

1/2-20 is fairly common overseas and that's what the 16" CZ452 has but I don't think I've heard of 1/2-24 in reference to a suppressor before.

Re: 1/2x24 to 1/2x28 adapter

You shouldn't run a centerfire can on a rimfire.

Just kidding. But what do you have that is threaded 1/2 x 24? I have never come across anything threaded 1/2 x 24. 1/2 x 20, 1/2 28, 1/2x32, 1/2x36 but never 1/2 x 24.

Re: 1/2x24 to 1/2x28 adapter

I was researching what a Savage Mk II FV-SR was threaded and came across some information that stated it was threaded 1/2x24...I spoke with someone else recently that corrected the information saying it was indeed 1/2x28

I've seen the one PWS makes, looks good.

I've seen that 1/2-24 number a couple of places, I have no idea why. I have one, it's threaded 1/2-28.

Is your .22 can going to be 1/2-24? I would put the adapter money into re-threading the gun to 1/2-28.

Re: 1/2x24 to 1/2x28 adapter

You can't turn 1/2-24 into 1/2-28 in the same threaded area. You'd need an extension that had ID threads of one size and OD threads of the other.

You try to thread that thing like that and you're going to end up witha mess.
