How does Corbon's quality stack up to BVAC (new / used) or Black Hills for that matter. I shoot both and have had good results. I don't know Corbon. Your opinions would be welcome. You guys didn't tell me I was going to learn a boat load when I joined up...just reading post and putting out my own post. Damn it ! I hate it when I learn stuff when I least expect it and have my guard down!

Re: Corbon versus... and learning

I have used several boxes of Corbon 260 match and one box of 308 match. Probably the best groups I have ever been able to do with factory.

Re: Corbon versus... and learning

Corbon is very , very good ammo. I especialy like their 308 in lapua brass which s great for reloading;!

The key is price, try different ammo and shoot what works best for your purpises and fits your budget

Re: Corbon versus... and learning

Pete Pi Jr. (Vice President of CorBon Ammo according to his business card) is a stand up guy. He did the load development on my 280AI and loaded 100 rounds of his recipe for me. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with his company.

Also, I have many friends that have shot his .308 factory loads and some of his .260 loads. They love em.

Re: Corbon versus... and learning

I've run CorBon 155 gr Scenar and 190 gr SMK .308 loads out of several different rifles. The performance was outstanding for factory ammo. Another thing I noticed is that CorBon ammo always seems to be a tad hotter (faster) than comparable loads from other manufacturers like Federal, Black Hills, etc.

Re: Corbon versus... and learning

Good intel...thanks for the feedback...now to find Corbon products at a fair price.
Price on some BVAC and Black Hills ammo I received prior to the election is now +10 percent higher..and allready "out of stock". The search continues...
