I have been looking around at Rem 700s in 308 caliber to add to my stable. I was curious as to ya'lls opinions on the following Rem 700s I found for sale.

- Rem 700 Police LTR 20" fluted barrell 40x trigger - $989

- Rem 700 5R 24" barrel with Timney Trigger - $999

- Rem 700 5R Barrel cut from 24" down to 20" and threaded with break. Barrel and bolt have been fluted. EGW picatinny base. - $1,375

- Savage 10 FCP HS Precision 308 Win with 24" threaded barrel and weaver 20 moa base - $800

What's ya'lls thoughts on these specific rifles for sale or do you have another suggestion?

Thanks.

Since I like a longer barrel Id get the 2nd one with 5R 24".

Re: Opinions - couple of .308s I found for sale

I found another Rem 700 5R 24" barrel for $925 that is NIB unfired. The Rem 700 5R 24" barrel with Timney trigger had been fired, but I think it was only broke in (not too many rounds). Other than the Timney trigger I am wondering if the new unfired one for $925 would be better. What do ya'll think?

a decent trigger starts at 120 $ and you have to install it - do the math
