Hey guys, me again. I need to know if I am reloading for my SCAR in .223 do I need to full length size my brass or can I get away with just neck sizing?
I just don't know if there is any difference because it's an autoloader.

Re: 223 semi auto ??

DO NOT neck size only for a semi auto. ONLY full lenght or small base size.

A case that does not chamber completly could cause a out of battery fire and serious injury!

+1 on CanSniper that goes for any semi auto even 308

Re: 223 semi auto ??

For a while. When the cases grow and it gets hard to close the bolt...FL and bump the shoulder...then trim the cases. JMHO

Re: 223 semi auto ??

Semi-autos, pumps and lever guns should use only F/L resized ammo. They don't have the camming power of a bolt gun if a case is tight when chambering. Easier in those guns to get a stuck case.

Bolt guns and single shots can use N/O sized cases. I don't N/O size in my bolt guns more than four times. I've had a few stuck cases when using N/O cases. No fun when you get a really stuck case.
