Photos Vortex Bling - Gold Plating

Hey guys,

I received these pics from one of my best customers. Thanks Mark. They were done for his customer and they are actually gold plated. Not sure what to think until I saw the bolt in an action. Very cool. Thoughts?

So I guess this falls under the "for the guy who has everything category"?

Gold plating is soft. It will not hold up if actually used. It will wear quickly and when it does it will look like crap and create expensive particulate.

For myself, I am not a fan of fluted anything and this goes that extra distance. But what the hell, its a personal taste thing and to each his own.

So where is the pic with the gold plated badger rings?!?

I would have to speculate that this is for display only. But as was stated " to each his own". Just thought it was different.

Maybe if it were that nickel boron with a gold hue and not real gold it might be a little more appealing, knowing it's gold is the tacky thing.

I think it is Cool. I wonder if you could put some sort of spinner on the bolt face like the WWE championship belt?

That would complete the look.

JK - IT is different and kinda neat but as you say to each his own.

You can't see it but there's a 1 carat diamond in the bottom of the bolt handle.

I would LOVE to have my bolt spiral fluted (just because) but no one does it in Australia... That looks great! Maybe not so keen on the gold but it looks good regardless.

Plenty places do it here in NZ mate, permiting shouldn't be much of an issue in/out this end either.
