There will be a practice/shooting weekend at Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City Kentucky the weekend of Dec. 1st and 2nd.

We will have steel targets from 300 to 1200 yards and also stands at 100 and 200.

This is a practice weekend for the Mammoth Sniper Challenge but anyone is welcome to come out and shoot with us.

The fee will $25.00 for a day or $40.00 for the weekend. Payment will be made at the shooting center upon arrival.

If anyone plans on attending this weekend please contact Joe at [email protected]

Space will be limited but we will get anyone on the range that wants to shoot. We will have people running the line so that it is organized and no one is waiting around for long periods of time.

Nick at Rockcastle stated he will give a room discount if you are planning on shooting that weekend.

Re: Weekend at Rockcastle Shooting Center

Is this a "square range" type affair, or shooting all over the place in the natural terrain?

Re: Weekend at Rockcastle Shooting Center

It will shot at the long range Valley where we have had stages before. There will be barricades to shoot off also. I wouldn't really call it a square range affair, but it will all be shot from one side of the valley.

Re: Weekend at Rockcastle Shooting Center

I will bring my 223 next time for the close steel targets,,but that 1525 target is pretty fun with the Savage 338 LM and 4.5-14 Leupold.

the 250 Hornady BTHP Match bullet and 90 grs H1000 confirmed itself to me as THE load in this rifle ..

sure was a nice pretty day ..
