Hunting & Fishing 2nd ever buck

Shot this guy a few weeks ago in Northern South Dakota.
Missed over his back at 250, and got him about 310. He made the mistake of stopping to smell me, since he was now downwind after I missed him.
Rifle is a Browning A-bolt in .300 WSM with Berger 168 gr. handloads.
This guy was HEAVY. Me the guy I was hunting with about blew out our tickers dragging this guy. Of course the drag was about 700 yards worth.

Nice buck, what town?. I shot one near Hecla last year that was about that size.

It was by Mobridge. Just west of the river

A buddy of mine did it. Boiled it for 5 hours, then pressured washed it.

I'm real happy with how it turned out.

Nice buck and mount. I would have had a hard time not going on and doing a shoulder mount on that guy though.

I thought about it, but my first ever buck was bigger

My first one is a shoulder mount.
