Lyman DPS 1200.... POS

I have a question for you fellas...

I believe my 1200 shit the bed the other day. It powers up normally and goes through the "warm-up" but if I hit cancel, nothing happens. After the warm up, I can press any button and nothing happens at all... I've tried unplugging it and leaving it plugged in...

Is there anything else I can try before sending it in? I'm at a loss...

Toss that turd. I have both the CM1500 and the Lyman 1200 and the Lyman1200 is a POS compared to the CM1500. Get a CM1500 and never look back.

I second High Binder's statement. "Toss that turd". I was able to use my Lyman exactly one time before it shit the bed. High quality right there.

Truth is all consumer grade electronic scales will shit the bed at some point, break out the balance beam while Lyman fixes it, hopefully for free, and sell it when it comes back.

So far we're all on the same track, awesome. I was planning on sending it back, purchasing a CM1500 and sell the Lyman to some joker when it comes back.

The 5-0-5 is already out and been put to work.

I've actually been pretty lucky with my 1200 up until this point. Been reading up on the various scales and I think the CM1500 is the way to go for me.

Sounds like static charge has frozen your unit. Take windex and a paper towel, wipe down real good and see if that solves problem. Happened to mine once.
