i'd get a 10X mil/mil SWFA SS scope, a 20 MOA base, good rings, buy some ammo and go shoot the sumbich

I would put glass on first. It's the most expensive part of a build. Plus it's the only thing stopping you from getting out and shooting. Viper pst 6-24 for about $949 or 4-16 for $899. Then piece the rest together as funds come available.

If you are looking for a volunteer I will Take it! I second the motion to buy the manners stock and save up for more parts later. Come to think of it thats what I just did.
Wife bought me an AAC SD, had it a week purchased the T5A and sent the barreled action to bugholes.

If the goal is, "start shooting with only this rifle and 1k"
I would upgrade the stock to used hs or bc, buy a used ss 10x, 20 moa base used, decent rings used, a Lee collet die, a Forster micrometer seating set, matchkings, lapua brass, CCIs, and powder.
