I'm wanting to purchase one of these AR's for my wife for Christmas, I'm not sure of the better one of the three or where to purchase from at a fair deal all are sold out that I find. She also wants a rail that covers the gas block but most of the one's I saw has the front sight post how can i pull that off with out seeing the notches where the pins that held the sight post on I'm open for leads, links ect for low pro gas blocks and a cool rail. If any of you guys have any of these set ups please post pics to help me with ideas.

Re: PSA-SMITH & WESSON OR WINDHAM WHEAPONARY

If this is a "first" AR for your spouse I think you'll be happy with either. The S&W has an optics ready carbine, which appears to be your target configuration, and a life time warranty. the Windham is getting great reviews but it's a new release and I'm not up to speed on their warranty/return policy. The PSA rifle is as close to an issue M-4 that out there...for that money. The 1-7 twist barrel on the rifle will be best served with 62 grain ammo or heavier. I'd stick with the 1-9 twist barrel if you're pushing the common 55 grain pills.

If you have an Academy Sports, Dicks Sporting Goods or Bass Pro near by, or a gun-fun shop of your choice, handle them first.

Dick's offers a Troy rifle with many of the accessories you're after at a reasonable price.
