Used my new suppressor for the first time this weekend, after a couple shots the heat from the suppressor was heavily blurring my scope picture.

What cover would you recommend and why for my surefire 762SS can? Thanks.

Re: What suppressor cover for Surefire 762SS?

Got a couple for my 762ss cans from Rifles Only/tab gear and they are a little long for my taste. They cover over the locking nut instead of ending at the can.

I would have preferred to get them to end at the can so I could get them on and off without removing.

Did you specify such instruction when you ordered the covers?

Here's another option to look at

http://www.eliteiron.net/elite-iron-suppressor-wraps.html

They used a material called "CARBON X" which is better than nomex

<object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Cn_fLJrs2Kw&feature=g-hist"></param> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Cn_fLJrs2Kw&feature=g-hist" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"> </embed></object>

I'm thinking about getting two of these in the near future

Re: What suppressor cover for Surefire 762SS?

islandermyk, I read your comments as if you're insinuating that we use Nomex material in our covers. We do not use, and have never used Nomex material in our covers.

sic65stang, you might want to give this link a look about our new model cover that we have finalized. The new SASR model would be a perfect cover for the 762SS can that has the quick release tab that sticks out and is hard to get a conventional cover over and access easily.

Nope... just suggesting a product I found, and not trying to bash anything else out there.

I believe in the "Buy once" thought and a budget shooter like myself would like something that will at least last a few months, years, etc... and just thought I'd share what I found with the SH community.

If you feel that I'm bashing on you or something.. I apologize, and there were no intentions of doing such things (I don't even know what your deal is.). If there is some sort of misunderstanding... I'm more than happy to talk about it, but I believe what I posted did relate to the topic. The OP was asking "What suppressor cover for Surefire 762SS?" and so I shared what I knew...

Cheers

My bad, I apologize for my misinterpretation of your statement.

We both have the same philosophy pertaining to purchases.

Have a Merry Christmas.

I've been eye balling some of your products... I'll be purchasing a TAB sling and TAB bean bag at my shop soon...

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

My apologies to the OP for dang near derailing this thread.
