I am selling a near mint Tikka varmint in 308 because I already have two other 308- a TRG22 and an FN SPR. Another option I am contemplating is to rebarrel the Tikka into a 6.5CM. I may want to keep the Tikka heavy barrel as a spare for the TRG22 if it's an option. I did some search and it seems SAKO and Tikka barrels shared the same action thread at 1" - 1/16tw, but the information was mostly heresay. I would guess it makes sense for SAKO and Tikka, being the same company, to make parts as compatible as possible. Can anyone confirm this? Much appreciated!

They do not share the same tenon thread. The Sako is metric and the T3 is a 1" x 16TPI.
