For those of you using mag fed bolt guns, which brand of mag do you use, and what has been your experience with them?

Need to order a few for my rifle, and wondered what the consensus is on the available mag options. Not loading long, so internal box length is not an issue for my purposes.

Go Aics they work and function great.

Re: AICS AI mags, Accurate mags or Alpha mags for .308

I've owned five AICS mags and four Alpha Mags. I transitioned to DBM's about four years ago or so and started out with AIS mags. To date I've never had any issues with them through all sorts of weather conditions. Out of the four Alpha Mags that I've owned the reliability rate has been 50/50, two mags from 2010 work fantastic while two from this year didn't work almost out of the box. No amount of tweeking and playing around with stuff could make them work so they moved on down the road. I've kept the two older Alphas but from now on if I need mags then it will be AICS for me. They do cost more but I think that money is worth the track record for reliability and the commonality for so many chassis systems and stocks.

I would also consider looking into C-Products AI clone mags.. I have a few and they have been flawless. I compared them side by side with the AI mags I have and they are exactly identical, with the exception of the slightly heavier gauge material used. They actually seem a bit more durable to be honest, and about half the price.

I am currently using Ruger marked Accurate Mags, and they have been 100% do far.

I started with some 5rd AICS mags for my DBM. Works great. Boyght two Type 1 Alpha mags and couldnt get them to even fit into the DBM with a full ten rounds. Had to only have 7-8rds to fit and feed. I moved them onto a mate who doesnt have much issue with his ones. I'll only by AICS from now on. The extra money is worth it

AICS AI Mags is what I'm running with my .223 and 6.5 and have never had a problem. To be fair I haven't tried either of the other mags so I cannot comment on them, But I also have no reason to try a different kind since I'm happy with the AI mags.

Re: AICS AI mags, Accurate mags or Alpha mags for .308

please keep in mind that alpha mags will not work in an ax aics chassis, the alpha mags are nice in the aics, because they are significantly shorter 10 rounders

does anyone know if alpha type iis will work in an aiae?

I vote for AI AW magazines.

Bottom metal/action aren't set up for them?

SWITCH!

Alpha mags have a lot more products coming out in the market in the upcoming months. They are excellent quality and put the AI mags to shame. Give them a call and see what is available.

Re: AICS AI mags, Accurate mags or Alpha mags for .308

I use Alpha mags, but for my 300WSM, haven't used them for 308. They feed fine and are fantastic quality.

Wow, I didn't expect it to be so unanimous, but that works.

I've used Alpha mags for a couple of rifles and love them because its a double stacked 10rnd mad.
