Wrongo bigsteve. No suppressor restrictions in WA state. As long as it is registered and purchased correctly you can hunt with a suppressor in WA.

Re: Hunting with a suppressor ?

@boogyman- how far were those 3 shots taken ? Just curious about the effective range and also curious where each one was shot, I see one neck shot.

Re: Hunting with a suppressor ?

Sorry for the delay in answering.....about 40 yards was the yardage. We are hunting close,

Re: Hunting with a suppressor ?

Bagged a Doe last night, Rem 700 243, 95gr Black hills SST's 226 yards. Love hunting Suppressed. Next is 300 blackout with Subs, and my 223.

Re: Hunting with a suppressor ?

All my deer were shot suppressed this year in Missouri.
Ranges From 30 yards to 240 yards. This little 8 point tree killer had to go also as he had killed 22 pine trees in back yard, wife was glad to see him done.

Also, go the Gem-tech blog, it's a few pages down, but it shows some maps as well. </div></div>

Thanks for the link, I was hoping WY changed its laws, sadly no. </div></div>

talking with the Guys at TBAC, it is very hopeful that 2013 will be the year !

Re: Hunting with a suppressor ?

Update

Obviously take this info for what it is worth. I would CYA and call Game and Fish in the particular state you are interested in to verify. And it would be a good idea to have a copy of the law stating it is legal with you while hunting IMO.

Go:
Alaska
Arizona
Arkansas
Colorado
Kansas
Kentucky
Maryland
Mississippi
Missouri
Montana (ONLY FOR VARMITS AND PREDATORS NOT BIG GAME)
Nebraska (ONLY FOR VARMITS AND PREDATORS NOT BIG GAME)
New Mexico
Oklahoma
Oregon
Pennsylvania
South Carolina
South Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
Utah
Virginia
Washington
Wisconsin

No Go:
Alabama
Connecticut
Florida
Georgia
Indiana
Louisiana
Michigan
Montana
New York
North Carolina
Ohio

Re: Hunting with a suppressor ?

It's not legal to hunt with a suppressor in Maine, but you can own them. Hopefully that changes some day.

Re: Hunting with a suppressor ?

In last years legislative session we had a bill in Georgia to legalize hunting with a suppressor but the voting schedule and some procedural hiccups prevented a vote. It would have passed so we are hoping for next year.
