When did you realize you're married to the right woman or knew she was the one?

for me, I knew I was in trouble when our first date was at the gun range. Actually our first date was new years at her house but I don't really count that...another story all to it's own.

Our first date, as mentioned, was at a gun range. I thought I'd do something different this time and truly be myself...NEVER AGAIN!LOL.

I was talking to her after our new years hangout and mentioned I was going shooting...she wanted to go. She wanted to go? Yea, I was going to the range that day and we were to go out that evening. Long story short...she out shot me with my own gun. (yea, I should have changed my number at that point)

Fast forward to tonight...She was asking if something in the fridge was still good, shrimp. So, my comment was "If it's slimy and smelly, I wouldn't eat it". Without missing a beat, "Yea, that's not what I heard"

So, lets hear your stories...

My wife and I's first date (bilnd) was a direct result to an ernest prayer and subsequent epiphany. It wasn't too long after that I was sure she was the one. Of course I almost screwed it up with your typical pre-marital jitters. But in the end everything worked out, been working at making it better for some time now

The day she surprised me on my b day with my first Precision rifle........700 police .308. About 4 years ago its now a .260 but thats her fault for starting my addiction. This year I got a bushnell elite hdmr g2 for Christmas THANKS BABE I was skeptical at first but I made the right decision. .

True story. 26 and single w/ a good job/money. Ridin wimmen and Harleys hard and puttin em away wet! Pretty serious about one "Brunette" whose daddy owned a shitload of farm land, but met "Blondie" at best friend's wedding. Ditched Brunette that night to talk/dance w/ Blondie all night. My mom was there and I told her, "I just met the woman I'm gonna marry"! Almost a year to the day "Blondie" said "Yes"!
Sold my Harley to buy wedding rings. That was 35 years ago last April. I PROMISE you I didn't beleive in love at first sight. I do now. Just keeps gettin better every day. At 50 she says, "Honey,I think we need a new Harley". Last year she says, "Honey, why don't you take me to Africa on safari?". I hope she never changes one bit. My fondest hope is for my children and grandkids to marry as happily as I did.

My brother has two children and back in 2009 - 2010 I was helping him with them picking them up and dropping them off at school. They had to stay in a before and after program because we both work and the lady there asked us to her brothers birthday party. The whole time my brother and I were debating who she likes. we show up at the birthday party have a few drinks and filters went out the window. Later in the night I asked her to play pool and she said " You just want to see me bent over the table!" I did a double take and she said "you heard me!" I left with her number met up for a couple more dates then became serious. I really knew that she would be the one when I realized we enjoy many of the same activities and beliefs. looking at three years together and one in marriage. I could not ask for a better person.

thats nothing i got yall beat..... ill keep this short... the lady and I not only met in the woods... but she shoots high powered rifle... after being stationed on fort bragg for less than a year (our first duity station) we were at a local shooting range and this happened.... it happened right in her hands

after it happened she has enough sense to keep the pistol pointed down range, pinching her nose off to try to stop the blood... squints and says "did i hit it".... "yup my group is better than yours"....

at that moment i knew i married the right woman

I told my wife when I was twelve I was going to marry her and after 51 years she asked me one day why I told her I was going to marry her? I told her she had the biggest set of anyone in the 6th grade and she would not speak to me for a week. Could not figure out why.

On our third date. There was just something about the depth of our conversation and the way she looked into my eyes that told me I wouldn't be lonely again. At the end of the evening when I asked to take her to dinner again, she replied, "Yeah, dinner would be great. But I'd really enjoy a play date! Can't you take me for a ride on your ATV? And how about shooting some of those guns you've told me about?"
That date happened on my 38th b-day. We picnic'd in a spot on a distant ridge on my hunting property that I've always reserved for solitude and kept to myself. Peanut butter, blueberries, riseling, and PBR have never been so good! Next we burned a full box of Walmart bulk .22 ammo thru my S&W 15-22 and various .22 handguns (she's since graduated to my M&P .40 and a .243).
When I saw the way she genuinely cared for my son and helped fill the void his mother left when she abandoned him, not only did I know I would marry her but I realized that GOD had truly blessed me in a way that so few ever get to know.

Second date's sex. Still has me hooked 22 years later. Dang that was good. Still is.

Other than that we are like peas in a pod. We seem to like ALL of the same stuff, including politics, and guns and complete each others sentences. She is an awesome mother also.

Honestly, I knew she was a keeper when we started dating and she was gorgeous and not post hole stupid like so many girls I had dated. She suggested we go shoot 22s at the orchard after dinner one night, I had never had any girl out of the ones I had dated ever suggest such a thing. Needless to say, that is when I decided to really do everything possible to win her over.

My in laws thought I was a keeper when I got her a Ruger 10/22 for her birthday the first year we were dating. I knew I had scored when for my bachelor party my Father in Law to be got a permit for us to spot light deer on their orchard. I got 2. Nobody else got any, Father in Law didn't shoot, he just giggled a lot at people trying to hit a deer with a light on them at 50~100 yards.

My wife also likes to get firearms for presents, hates shoe shopping and gets hit on constantly by people. Shooting one time this doctor was talking about this pharmacist (my wife) at this store and how he would give anything to nail her. I chimed in, which one? He says her name. Oh man that thing she does with her tongue! He turns red, the guy I am shooting with works with my wife, starts laughing, the poor doc asks, is that your wife? Sure is!

Marry well, we've been married 15 years now, and it feels like 5. She is my best friend and when I go away for trips, I cannot wait to see her and our children.

Well, we hit it off from the get go, but it wasn't until I realized that she was on par with the kind of woman my grandmother was, a few months later. It was then I just couldn't let her go, though I wanted to go party with the guys. I don't know a better person than my wife, there is nobody nicer or more caring.

Never been jealous, never had any problems other than me being an asshole. We trust each other to do whatever and are very open and honest with each other, even if it hurts.

I still don't know what she sees in me.
