Just more versatility. 30x would be good for identifying, spotting, shooting groups, fclass, benchrest, varminting. I know for me I hardly use 3.5x on my HDMR but 21x gets used a lot. It's going to be the same scenario with the new 30x scope.
Sounds like a H-37 reticle in another scope would help you or accept dialing down the mag for holdovers.
Ever consider adding another 5 mils on the dial and holding over less???
Here's what I do with my HDMR/H59
I holdover up to 7.5 mils. Past that I dial the solution up to 15 mils and use the center dot. When I shoot ELR past the 15 dialed mils I have no choice but to holdover for the rest. I can dial 20 mils but the tracking is incorrect at the upmost and the scope is quite blurry because the erector is cocked so much.
