HI
Anyone find any bag or sleeves with molle that can hold a manfrotto 190 or 055? I only found the manfrotto bag. Nothing with molle for attachment to a backpack.

Re: Manfrotto tripod case

Have you tried a shotgun scabbard? Should be about the right size and can be found that attach to molle points.

I may have what you are looking for, and can be made any length that you need.

Re: Manfrotto tripod case

This is something I had been looking for myself. I'm glad to find some one making these for the tripod. I do believe I will be sending in an order for one.

Re: Manfrotto tripod case

This Tripod Scabbard from Armageddon Gear is very nice. A shooting buddy has one and it attaches nicely to the side of his pack.

I've found Manfrotto tripods to be pretty rugged and just lash mine to my pack with compression straps.

The only problem I see with that particular model in comparison to others mentioned above is that it is likely too short for both the 190XPROB and the 055XPROB tripods when assembled with a head. While you MAY be able to get a 190 with a head attached into that scabbard (the 190 is roughly 22.5" in length when fully collapsed WITHOUT a head attached), there is no way an 055 will work because they are right at 26" in length WITHOUT a head attached. Measure twice...order once (if at all)!

Aside from that issue, those look well-made in terms of designed, materials and construction.

Re: Manfrotto tripod case

Would you consider making this with no lengthwise zipper and at the open end put:
1)-webbing with a buckle to secure with tripod in the tube with the spotting scope attached for quick deployment without having to remove your backpack
2)-a buckle fastened flip top for those times when you want to transport the tripod without the spotting scope.
3)-A Small side compartment to hold the removable carry strap, lens pen

Thanks,
John

John,
I have something like that in the works, let me get caught up with my current orders and I will get back to you.
Here is a shot of the inside of the zippered bag.

Re: Manfrotto tripod case

^^^^^^^^^If they made it in a color that was more in keeping with where I live I would buy one.

I'm going to wait for Scott.

Thanks

My current 36" bag weighs just at a pound, it comes standard with 1/8" closed cell foam padding between the layers. If you wanted to cut a few ounces it could be made without padding, but for no more than the padding weighs I prefer the padding.
Shown below is a 36" bag with my Vortex carbon fiber tripod and Manfrotto 327rc2 head.

Re: Manfrotto tripod case

That is a nice case. How are you guys transporting your Scope in addition to the tripod? I have a swaro setup and basically just put it in the back of my car for its trip to the range and really want to get a better configuration
