Powder Valley had a good price so I thought id try them in my 6 Creedmoor along with Berger 105 VLD, Hybrids and Hornady 105HPBTs. Now pick the bullet you think will be the most accurate out to 600/1000yds, come on, play along.

I've had very good results with Nosler bullets, but have not tried their 6mm bullets in my 6 Creed. I'll be interested in seeing your results.

Re: Ordered me some Nosler 6mm 105 Custom Comps!

I'm definitely interested in your results. I'm shooting the 105amax out of my .243 and Ive wanted to try some other 105gn bullets.

Do you vary your charge weight any when using different bullets of the same weight? Ive heard if the sectional density is the same your are good to go with the same charge weight and not work up. Is this true? or is a 105gn a 105gn?

I'm gonna say the Berger VLD wins out here.

Re: Ordered me some Nosler 6mm 105 Custom Comps!

Ill surely let you guys know which one shoots best.

I wont be able to shoot it til may when the range opens up again, grrrrr. FWIW, Ive shot both the Hornadys and Hybrids @300yds and produced some 4 shot groups at or less than an inch,(700 6mmREM) plus that one flyer. I think they'll all do quite well, Ive got me a Hornady concentricity tool so maybe that'll help accuracy a bit.

What velocity are you getting with the hybrids? Who is the barrel maker and what length? I am just putting a 6CM together and hope to get the 105 hybrids to 3100.

I got the Bartlein 28" HV. Im thinking I should get over 3300 with the 105s, I shot it only once back in early Nov. Range wont open back up til May, Im using RE17 for max velocity. My workup loads go up as high as 43grs. No chronograph so Ill have to go by trajectory figures I guess.

Those sound like pretty good numbers. I spoke with Ken at GAP today, and he reported guys with 23" barrels on the GAP-10 getting to around 3100fps. I figure I should be able to get there with a 24" barrel from a bolt gun.

Yup, thats about right for that "slow' H4350, RE17 will give you much more.

Re: Ordered me some Nosler 6mm 105 Custom Comps!

As you might be able to load them all to the same specs, do you expect making a test and measure actual drop differences at say at least 500m? That would be some considerable intel to see...

Ill probably zero them at 300 then see how high they are at 200 & 100yds. I can get it pretty close that way.

I have 4 or 5 lbs. of RE-17, but I don't like the temp. sensitivity I've seen from it before. I am a lazy reloader. I just wanna find a load that works and go shoot it regardless of temp.
