Can't find a link anywhere for Long term Storage of firearms in PVC with the best methods to prevent oxidation. Any help would be appreciated.

Food canning places sell oxygen absorbers, which will significantly help with decreasing FE203.

Here's an article on it. you have to scroll down a bit but everything you'd ever want to know is in the document.

If you have the ability to vaccuum seal the item(s) after lubricating them that would also be ideal. For reference, I've seen old war stock brand new M-16 A1s that were stored by applying a coat of cosmoline to them and then sealing them in plastic.

Cabinet maker supply shops sell gas to replace oxygen in finish cans to prevent oxidation of the contents between uses. Might be useful in your situation.

Most of the long term storage pieces I have, I have treated with a spray of a product very similar to cosmoline. Then let it dry before putting it in the safe. True, you do have to remove it with some kind of solvent, but it works very well.

You can order dessicant bags on line. Coat in cosmoline, place in an airtight bag with dessicant. Seal the PVC well and it will be good long after you have forgotten where you buried it. Dont forget a 1000 rounds of ammo, some solvent and cleaning kit to go with it in the PVC
