I agree with what he says about undermining our position by saying things that signal violence, indifference to sound arguments regarding access to weapons by prohibited people and awful rants directed at antigun people that make us look like loons.
Patience and deep breaths before posting help a lot.

Couldn't agree more with this!
The only way to beat emotional arguments is with patient, logical and informed arguments.
Devolve into emotion ourselves and we will lose this fight.

Boy, we've seen our share of that the past couple of weeks, huh? It's become very difficult to separate highly-emotional statements made in the heat of the moment from those that sincerely represent the worst fears of the general public.
