Re: 6.5 130 jlk vld

I'm very interested in your results, IMHO the 130s are perfect balance between speed and BC in the short 6.5 cartridges, I pray Berger comes out with a 130 Hybird.

I've been shooting them in my Crusader .260 and love them. They are more accurate than the 130 Bergers and they are flatter at the same velocity. They are .600 G1 BC.

I agree with 427....6.5 130's are the perfect balance of power in medium capacity cases.

Glad to hear. Was running some #'s and they looked pretty good on AE Ballistic app. I talked to Swampy for a while and he said the only difference bt the 140 and 130 is different jacketing. Otherwise they are the exact same with only a .010 diff in bc. Overall bullet length is 1.402 (I think) which I would guess means a little bit more speed where as a 140 berger is 1.421 and less bc. One ?? Are they as depth sensitive as the regular Berger vlds?? I'm shooting a Gap Crusader with a 27" bartlein 1:8.5 twist so pretty much anything will shoot but I'm looking to hit 2880 to 2900 ..... That will keep me supersonic out to 1500 yards as im only 350 asl

That's what I'm getting with 44.2grs H4350 out of a 26" 1-8.5" Schneider.

This was the first load I tested. I've since added .7grs of powder and still no pressure. I used the same base to ogive as I use with my proven 130gr Berger VLD load.

If you want them you better call swampy ASAP! He's got a big shipment going out sometime in Jan. That's when he told me to be looking for them
