Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

I really like the REPR. I would like to have one.

This same gun was $3700 2 weeks ago.

And yet there are many great guns, equal or better (like the POF) that are not seeing stratospheric prices. In fact, they are reasonably priced still.

What am I missing?

Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

I have been watching some of those idiots ,but how many do you think are actuaaly paying for them .Since all this mess I know several that are signing up just to bid stuff up ,and fuck with some of the buzzards on there .

Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

I should have listed my repr on gunbroker. Oh we'll I guess I will just have to keep on shooting it!

Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

No it is not. I owned one and it does not do great in the accuracy department as advertised. You're better off with the GAP10 or OBR for the same price. If you can fork it get the SR25 because mine does 1/2 MOA or less. The RePR is heavy and actually the gas system doesn't work like they claim becuse I ran the gas system closed for a "bolt action" feel and the gas system clogged. When I called they said that it should've be run closed. It is a tight gun but for the money you can get something way accurate for less

That is a seriously shitty thing to do. Not only does that deprive other bidders of obtaining what they are trying to buy on their perceived time table, but it also further inflates the market. Your "friends" should be bitch-slapped.

Lots of sites have them showing in stock only to tell you they are back ordered after they run your CC. My Local shops are wiped clean of everything.

I guess that explains Gunbroker prices. I was mostly wondering why this specific model has gone bonkers relative to other Higher end Gas Piston .308s?

At least POF is getting a little love;

Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

POF rifles are not higher end than a REPR, but none of them are worth that.

Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

Wow, sucker born everyday.

Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

I have one just like that only green. Its a good rifle and I like it alot but I paid less that half that for mine in September. Things are out of control.

Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

Just goes to prove that there are some stupid people with money.

Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

I will be putting up my 16" REPR with MANY upgrades for sale on Wednesday. I will be buying an F&D Defense 308 and the remainder of the $ into my reloading setup. I sure hope I can get what those guys are getting!

Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

These times bring out the people who just have to have it and are willing to pay big bucks for it. Is the REPR worth that type of money to me - NOT! - but to someone I guess it is and that is why they pay the big bucks. Either that person will look brilliant in the purchase later on; but, my money is he will be sitting there with a rifle that he paid 2 1/2 times too much for.

Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

The market drives pricing. Yeah, prices are crazy right now, but it's because people are concerned about not being able to buy the _____________that they always wanted. If nothing happens, they'll regret paying that much....if a ban comes through then they'll forget pretty fast what they paid and be very glad they have that ___________. It's a gamble either way. Anybody that didn't see this day coming, one way or another, was a bit short-sighted. It was always a matter of when, not if Obama would get around to pushing a ban again. Call these folks bidding high prices stupid if you want...and maybe they ARE for not having bought sooner....but if they are some of the few to score rifles right before a ban then history will look on them as lucky, not stupid. :)

Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

Like a car w/o gas, what are they worth w/o ammo?

Smart Move Mike. Strike while the iron is hot. Package deals with accessories seem to be hot too. Now is the time.

I would like to have a REPR, but I went for the F&D first. If that is all I end up (with my .556) with, I will be happy.

Things are just out of control...REPR's are nice ( and I do own one)but no gun is worth 8k to me

Re: LWRCi REPR, Worth it's weight in gold?

The REPR has to many problems, would pay $2,000 tops.
