Im having trouble finding any 208 Amax in stock anywhere along with 300wm Winchester brass for an ok deal. If any of you can help me out with some links to some reloading supply places that would be great. I am very new to reloading and I am just trying to get started. Thanks.

Re: Reloading supplies?

Stuff is just bought up by panic buyers right now. I noticed that Midway shut down backorders on bullets today as well.

Re: Reloading supplies?

I picked a really bad time to start a project. This blows. I sent an email to Hornady today asking if they have any idea on when some venders will start to get restocked. I really just want to get enough stuff to load about 500 rounds. Not looking to stockpile or resell. This is nuts.

Re: Reloading supplies?

The brass should be around, the 208 amax, good luck. Hornady should provide good info.
Put a want to buy ad in the px.

No problem. If there are other ways we can help you spend your money, let us know...

Enjoy the reloading.

Re: Reloading supplies?

I am still in the market for brass, looking for new unprimed Winchester 300 win mag.

Someone did send me a link to a place that has a mix head stamp but mostly FC primed brass but I am worried about FC brass being good quality. I have never reloaded before and hear that Winchester or Norma is the best since Lapua does not make 300wm brass. Loading for precision also and want everything to be the same from shot to shot. Also could I deprim the live primers in order to clean up the primer pocket and flash hole?

Re: Reloading supplies?

That brass is military pull down brass, and my understanding is that all the 300 Mag is Federal or Black Hills, and that the Black Hills brass is still Federal. This may or may not be correct. As for Federal brass, I have had great luck with it. Some guys that load stuff ultra hot say that the primer pockets loosen up, but I don't load stuff that hot. You could always kill the primers with some oil and deprime, but you might as well load your ammo with those primers the first time.

Re: Reloading supplies?

Ok I ordered one box of 500, they only had 2 boxes in stock when I ordered. Thanks guys for all the help.

Re: Reloading supplies?

Bumping this to the top cause I am in need of powder. H4350, if anyone knows of a spot that has any or is a good online place to get in line at I am all ears. I am going to burn up the phone line today calling all local shops to see. I am looking to get maybe 2 8lb kegs. Thanks.

Re: Reloading supplies?

I would say BackOrder it through PowderValley, but they just announced they arent taking backorders for out of stock items now, just keep searching.

Re: Reloading supplies?

I was just going to recommend a B.O. from Powder Valley because that's what I did for some TAC powder last week (Thankfully!) No BO's anymore with them, find someone who will take a BO and get ready to wait. Maybe pay the piper and grab a pound somewhere to get through, seems like 1# is easier to get?

Re: Reloading supplies?

Third generation shooting supply shows some primers as does powder valley. T&T Reloading may have some powder. Not sure if T&T site is up to date never ordered from them just searching myself.
