At nearly 1100 MSRP this should be in almost direct competition for the AAC Cyclone (around 850 on the streets eventually)...If the db numbers are right. Does anyone have any reviews, links to reviews, videos, ect.?

Any thoughts on the direction YHM is going? I think some of their stuff: Annihalator FH, Zombie AR15, is kind of gimmicky. But, I own a YHM specter XL in 1:9 and its a MOA AR. Good quality.

Re: New YHM Suppressor: .30 Ti Thread On - - Any Info?

YHM's centerfire cans have always been very quiet, and semi accurate cans. They use the same exact baffle design in every one of their cans (Sound Technologys patent). Their downfall used to be weight with the SS versions, but the Ti changed that. Ive heard a QD 30cal Ti next to a SS Phantom direct thread and the Db is roughly the same but a slightly different tone in the Ti.

Overall I dont think you can go wrong with them for a budget suppressor. My old SS Phantom did affect accuracy slightly as it would warm up, but this could also have just been due to being so heavy when the barrel would warm up and nothing to do with the suppressor itself.

Cool, thanks for the reply. I've only shot issued suppressors, the AAC that comes with the XM2010 (titan?), the KAC that comes on the SASS, and surefires on m4's.

I'm excited about this one, I don't like the look of the YHM QD flash hiders so this new Ti thread-on model is right up my alley.

It's between this, the cyclone, and the cyclone-k for a post deployment gift to myself.

15oz - YHM thread on ti 23oz - aac cyclone
$ 1088 - YHM VS 750 for AAC

I'm in a suppressor quandry.

I paid a little over $600 for my Cyclone. I should have it within a month. I don't know if Silenced America still has them for that price, but I'd contact them and see what they can do for you.

I will shoot them an email! thanks...wow 600 for a cyclone is not bad at all. I'm excited to get home an start spending my money lmao.

Re: New YHM Suppressor: .30 Ti Thread On - - Any Info?

I recognize your considerations were between between AAC and YHM. However, if you are looking for accuracy as a primary performance factor, you might want to consider Thunderbeast Arms. I'd think the Thunderbeast Arms 30P-1 would be available for under $1K from a Hide vendor. It is a thread-on Ti can with a stellar reputation in the precision rifle community.

Lastly - thank you for your service to our country!!

Seen the YHM around for $800ish. Don't forget the SAS Ti can, I think that one is around $750ish or so.

I'm a big time lurker on silencer talk. Thanks for the info though, guys. I've gotten off topic though, the purpose of my thread was to ask if anyone has seen the new can out by YHM, the Ti thread-on not QD. BUT...Now im googling TBA and researching 600 dollar cyclones! haha. Not much else to do though, thank God it's too cold to run long missions!
@ Zenghost, no need to thank me...I love what I do...I am ready to get out and go to school though! Kansas State might have let me down in football but I'm sure they will educate me!

Re: New YHM Suppressor: .30 Ti Thread On - - Any Info?

Part of the reason I went with YHM was that they stand behind their product, and Jon was nice enough to demo that very SS Phantom of which he speaks. Very impresive can. Shawn @ S&J Refinishing also demo'd some YHM for me, and they were equally impressive. I had never heard suppressed weapons before and found them to be....well......impressive. I'm new to this NFA game, as well as to the Hide, but members always have great advice, not to mention sharp wit. Good luck and good shooting!
