Hi everyone my name is Dan and I have been a long time forum lurker. I have been gathering parts for my ar-15 build for the past year as money allows. I had been interested in the MK12 mod 1 style rifle ever since I put my eyes on one. So that is what my foundation for this rifle was also to use as a prarie dog gun when I see the in-laws out in OK. I'm almost done with the build just waiting on the items to be shipped. The following is my parts list as it sits.

Barrel - Rainier Arms 18" Match SPR .223 wylde
upper- Rainier Arms UltraMatch Billet
handguard- MI Gen2 t-12
bolt- Rguns NIB w/ BCM extractor upgrade
Charge- BCM Gunfighter Large
stock- A2 standard
trigger- stock for now
lower- stag arms
BUIS- KAC sight's ( waiting on front)
muzzle brake- Ops INC (should be here today)

Welcome to the hide.The rifle looks good.Finish her up and post some groups.A good trigger is a must.

Thanks will do! I missed the post office yesterday for the muzzle brake and am trying to located the other small parts. Plan to take a trip to cabelas and see what or if they have any thing I could use.

Fantastic looking build! You're going to enjoy the performance of that Rainier BBL. Shoots 69-80smk's like a dream.

I agree with 1Sg on trigger over anything else; get something like a Geissele DMR trigger on there and you'll be breaking clean every time!

Yeah I plan on putting a nice trigger in. Just trying to figure out wether to do the ops 12th can next due to the long wait . I cannot wait to get some range time with this.

Got the Ops Inc brake in today and installed. Just love the way it fits and looks, cant wait for the matching silencer!

On the trigger what should I be looking at, I see the kac 2 stage or the geisslee ssa or dmr trigger. But which geisslee would be better for this platform rifle?

There is a GB on Timney Triggers here, good deal IMO. I would look at that or Giessele SSA-E. I have both and like both. I also have two-stage RRA and its good but not Giessele good.

Just depends what you want to spend. 2stage for around 120, timney 175 and Giessele 220. Sale price points they all run higher
