Fed-Ex Theft!

Guys I am letting you know that I just received a package from another hide member that was missing the main item he shipped me. The box was clearly cut open and re-taped. They cut the side of the box open, slid out the original manufactures package, opened the box, took items out of plastic bags, put the bags back inside the box, closed the original box, slid the original manufactures box back inside and taped the shipping box.

It is clearly employee theft and they want to pickup the box and give me 100 dollars for the 500 dollar product they stole. I'm just a little more than done with Fed-Ex.

Yup. Any service You use that has that many people working for it, will have a proportionate amount of crooks too. No way around it. Best just to make sure Your stuff is insured, cause they all suck.

Tell them that ouve spoken with others who have experienced this and that your discussing a class action lawsuit. I did that with UPS and they paid up in 3 days. As has been discussed here before, your ususlly better to ship direct from a FED Ex location rther than a pack and ship store who has a vested interest.

For me I have a current investigation with USPS on a missing package of 4 Surefire mags to a customer. I'm starting to wonder if it was theft or just a bad customer trying to steal from me.

Well at least Im not the only one dealing with this. I have ordered a couple pricy gun smithing items mid DEC with 2-3 day shiping and still havent seen anything.

We had a computer shipped from Dallas via FedEx and it made to Phoenix where it was scanned and never seen again. Nothing on the box indicated it was a computer with the exception of possibly the shipper's name.

I can't honestly say which one, UPS or FedEx, is better or worse but I have had the best luck with UPS.

Not FedEx, but a few years back I shipped a GAP rifle to a member here, after a week of tracking, it got to its home town destination but the site said "exception" in shipping info. After a two week run around and me telling them "this is a firearm you lost, its a big deal", it took a phone call to the local Sheriff to get things to happen, it showed up in a employees locker.
