Shooters,
I am pleased to announce that the SOTECH Sniper Skid Plate will be out on the market immediately after SHOT Show.
The change is due to another manufacturer will be taking over production. This is still a SOTECH pattent protected product, however it will be built by another reputable company. SOTECH may in the future offer them as well, but as of now it will be an accelerated production to get these out on the market ASAP.
These will also be dealer purchased, meaning they will be able to be bought at outlets such as Impact Data Books, or US Tactical Supply. I am open to other people being dealers as well, but as of now, those are the two primary vendors.
This will make acquiring this item easy and BS free, and let you get back to shooting and getting rounds on target.
If you are interested in becoming a dealer or have any questions, please feel free to call me personally or PM me. If you are going to be at SHOT, I will also be there at the PiperGear Booth.
Thank you for your time,

Phil Hagoes

Re: SOTECH Sniper Skid Plate Production

Hello Phil,

So you (or all) are out until after SHOT? Does Triad carry these? Wouldn't mind having one right now.

Re: SOTECH Sniper Skid Plate Production

There are currently NO skid plates for sale that I am aware of. The good news is that IMMEDIATELY following SHOT, production of a large quantity will go out and should be available to everyone who wants one. The primary vendors are projected to be Impact Data Books and USTS.
I would love to get it in the hands of Triad, but that is part of an upcoming line of products thru HTI. Steve runs that show and I am doing every thing possible to get this high demand to the shooters thru whatever venue works best for them. I know Triad Tactical is the main venue for one stop shop, so if he asks for them, he will get them.
Thanks,

Phil

Re: SOTECH Sniper Skid Plate Production

Cobria tactical had them in stock on Dec 26.

Might still have some?

They come in Coyote, Green or Black.

We have both sizes in all three colors. I just sent out in stock notices to the 324 people that were on the waiting list for these.

Thanks Phil, nice work.

Re: SOTECH Sniper Skid Plate Production

Team Blaster has been using them since they first came out and its a GREAT piece of kit. It is light weight and pads the rifle to stop the movementt and bouncing.

You will be able to order the Skid Plate thru Impact Data Books in the very near future as we are going to be the main source for this product.

You will be able to find it located here when its available in stock

Re: SOTECH Sniper Skid Plate Production

You should market this to hunters. I didn't know what it is. It sounded snipery. I looked into it and it is great for shooting out of a blind or over a truck window. The size would need to be reduced to fit most hunting weapons, but this is a great idea!

Re: SOTECH Sniper Skid Plate Production

M24SWS,
The A-3 would be best, and the A-5 would be too wide laterally.
Yes, this would be ideal for deer stand, shooting off fences, etc.

Re: SOTECH Sniper Skid Plate Production

I agree with marketing this for hunters. Particularly guys with woods stocks.

Re: SOTECH Sniper Skid Plate Production

Chase,
That is already in the works and will be coming out very shortly!

May have missed it but is it one size fits all? I've got an AIAE I'd like to put this on.

You did miss it:

Yup the same ones made by Phil. Place your order while they are in stock.

I'm guessing the large would work for mine. I'll place an order. Thank you.

Rob you rock dude. My buddy and I have been looking for skid pads forever. 2 on the way now :)

The small fits my Rock Solid Stock prefect for anyones reference.

The larger one fits my Manners T4 perfert for anyones reference

To clarify the Gen 2 Sniper Skid Plate is NOT made by SOTECH, but is the second version of the original. The Gen 2 is made by HTI, Hard Target Innovations. I am the guy who invented and developed BOTH of these. I am no longer with SOTECH, but am headed in a new direction with HTI.
The Gen 2 is a far superior design and is now capable of working on both a bolt gun and a Picatinny railed system.

This is the most missed information about these:

Sizes:
Micro= 7" Long x 1.5" Wide
Small= 7" Long x 4 1/2" Wide
Large= 7 " Long x 6 1/2" Wide

Thank you.......

For comparison, here are photos of the LARGE on and AR-10 and a SMALL(not Micro) on an M-4:
