So can someone give me a quick run down on which bipod I should choose and why? It is narrowed down to either a brand new VersaPod or brand new Atlas bipod. Both would be connected to an AICS 2.0 on a Remington 700 SA .308 via spigot mount. I would love to hear people's opinions on them, especially if you have used both. Not too much out there on the new VersaPod, and the functionality of the two seem similar. Durability is a big thing for me, and I shoot from prone and bench.

Re: Some help with bipod selection please.

Most ppl here use Harris or atlas. Don't think you can go wrong with either. So since you didn't mention Harri, look at atlas

Re: Some help with bipod selection please.

what feature do you want most out of the bipod? tracking? stability? ease of deployment? height? QD? heavy use? hunting? popularity?

no such thing as a perfect bipod imho.

Re: Some help with bipod selection please.

I just put together a Rem 700 on a AICS 1.5. I used a Harris and it is Rock Solid. I have friends that have used the Bipod meant for the AI and the did not like it and went back to the Harris for 1/3 the price.

Re: Some help with bipod selection please.

My choice of bipod depends on stock, on my A5 I prefer the Atlas, on my Rock Solid Stock I prefer a Harris 6-9 swivel with Pod-Lok, the A5 tapers slightly and loading the Harris is much harder versus the Atlas, the Rock Solid Stock does not taper, the Harris simply works perfectly, these are the only two bipods I recommend, if I had a AICS I would get the Atlas because it mounts further forward via the spigot, either way Triad Tactical has you covered.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I have a leftover Harris 9-13 from another build and I just don't think it will work well for the AICS build, or perhaps there is just a more advanced option out there. I will post pics in a few days when I get it all together.
