After issues with finding the perfect bipod for my 7mmRM, I think I found it. I was looking for the most rock solid, yet fully adjustable bipod available that would still let me get as low as I wanted for prone shooting. As the gun is already quite hefty, weight wasn't a primary concern. The Sinclair seems to be what I was after, however, their mounting solution sucks for a tactical rig, and required a trip to the hardware store to get it more streamlined. Overall happy with it, but definitely heavy...

What prone positions are you getting into that are advantageous for a bipod to be so close to the ground? Just wondering.

Re: Sinclair Intl Tactical Bipod

Downhill at times. Also puts the gun at the right height for the rear monopod. The Harris with claws on the AICS required either a larger rear bag or standing a small one on end. Just not as stable (at least for me). Optimistic on the V8.0 Atlas, but had issues before with the V7 when at 45 degrees.

Re: Sinclair Intl Tactical Bipod

Got it. In my AO most of the time my downhill shots will still require the bipod (Atlas) in full position or even extended for the reason there is typically a bunch of grass, weeds, or brush directly in front. Correct; the small rear bag is swapped for the large one...or two. Very cool looking bipod by the way. Please let us know how it does as you get a chance to shoot with it more. Cheers!

Re: Sinclair Intl Tactical Bipod

Replaced the large thumb screws on the bottom with allen heads and the large cross pin lever on the side with a cotter pin and button head screw ($6 in parts). Wont be removing it in the field...

Re: Sinclair Intl Tactical Bipod

You and I seem to be engaged in the same search.

If you're looking for ROCK SOLID, Allied Precision Arms allegedly makes a bipod just like their AR-50 bipod, but with an AI spigot. I saw one at the SHOT show attached to an AW50. However, MHSA was unable to procure one for me. You may have better luck, but if a vendor won't answer a reseller's call, I personally wouldn't bother.

As you know I also tried your Airsoft(!)/Mod Pod combo. I liked it better than the factory AI bipod, but didn't like how it scuffed up my barrel from rubbing up against the mod pod attach points. I think I'm going to add some felt pads. If Kasey ever turns out a tension-adjustable AI adapter, that may be the ticket for that kind of set-up. Of course, maybe I'll get around to attaching the tension knobs to one of my AI bipods and end up liking that well enough too.

Let us know how that Sinclair shoots!

Very solid although I am cheating on that a bit as I am using the stud provided by the Badger IMUNS which is mounted in a steel plate. A buddy of mine here on the hide is going to take me with him to the range and zero the new USO on the gun (I'm still two weeks out from shoulder surgery). Will ask him to share his impressions.

Looks interesting. Looking forward to trying out the new Atlas revision and will likely mount it to a rail under the forearm.

Re: Sinclair Intl Tactical Bipod

I've waited a long time for someone here to write a review on that bipod. I've considered buying one, but am just hooked on the Harris with the Pheonix Tactical Podclaw kit.

I agree with you. There are many times I've wanted my rifle lower, and couldn't get it which in turn raised the rear of the rifle up, my shoulder up, and brought me further of the ground than I had liked. In turn, that made me less reliant on my bone structure, and was a less stable position.

I've had their F Class bipod, and I believe it is the same mounting system. It tensions up to the stock and is literally rock solid. Once set, it won't move, at least mine didn't.

I do have a couple questions:

How well does the bipod load up?
Is there any flex in it?
The legs are square, but it appears to have the same feet as a harris. Are the legs round where they go into the foot? I ask because I am not a fan of the round rubber foot, and if I could machine a set of Pheonix adapters to fit, I will. But they would require the leg to be round where the foot is pinned to it.

Who did your stock?

BTW, very nice setup.

None. Maybe a few mm flex, but about as solid as could be expected

Looks like a round rod going into the foot with a cross pin holding it in place. No rotation on the foot which is great for claws.

Re: Sinclair Intl Tactical Bipod

Sorry for the delay in writing a review on this FANTASTIC bipod.

With the above modifications to the stock, it is just about perfect.

The ability to adjust the width of the bipod allows for significant elevation adjustments. With the legs in the wide position, you get amazing stability. I am a Harris bipod fan and have been shooting them for years. I thought that I was getting good stability before. I was wrong. With the bipod locked in place, it was like shooting a rail gun. I could fully load the bipod without any flex. I shoot a hard hold typically and this thing just locked in. After recoil, I was typically on target and within an MOA or two of my original hold.

The complaints I had about the bipod system were the attachment method, which Ohiogunnut has corrected by replacing the LARGE knobs smaller allen screws. In the original configuration, there is a large chunk of aluminium that is just begging to get caught on something or dig into your back when it is on a sling.

The other unfortunate thing about shooting this bipod, is that it might have cost me $200 now that I am not satisfied with my Harris....

Re: Sinclair Intl Tactical Bipod

It mounts to a sling swivel stud. Cannot do pics of the mounting for a while (working out of town), but there are pictures up top and on the link provided. The reason it has a lever is because it swivels...

Re: Sinclair Intl Tactical Bipod

Resurrecting an oldie here, but... anyone still using and liking these? I´m currently on a Pod-Claws upgraded Harris, which is fine for my purposes I guess, but then there´s always room for improvement.

I LOVE the wide stance of this bipod; it looks like a very appealing concept.

Single question: how are the rubber feet? Exchangeable? I think I can see pins in some pics, but not sure. Harris rubber compatible?
