I have seekins 34mm 6/4 low rings and bushnell hdmrg2 scope. Anyone with this setup or similar, how tight did you go on the rings? I'm seeing a lot have said 15-20 inch pounds as a standard. Anyone got something different?

Please read more and post less. This information is clearly posted on the Seekins Precision web site under <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">"Scope Rings"</span></span>. Imagine that. It took me less than ten seconds to Google <span style="font-style: italic">"Seekins Precision"</span>, then click on the <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">"Scope Rings"</span></span> page and see the recommended torque specification on Seekins Rings. I could have easily cut n' pasted the torque specs here, but Jesus - you can put forth at least a tiny bit of effort.

Re: Scope Rings

I would just like to thank those that posted useful information, or sent a pm with useful information. Also, I would like to give a big Fuc U to Aries64 for taking the time to be a smarta$$ on my thread and increasing his own post count. Its guys like him that give forums like this a bad reputation. Then again, he is in California....I would always be pissed also.

I don't give a crap about post count. Obviously you do, and this thread and your personal attack on me are proof that you should be reading more than you post.

Actually, it's lazy guys' like YOU that ruin the forum. I went easy on you douchebag - there are others here who would have said much worse to you but I replied first. Maybe if you bothered clicking on the two hyperlinks I posted in my first reply to you instead of being butthurt because I didn't spoon-feed you <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-style: italic">everything</span></span> you would realize that I did post useful information. It was and is right there, douchebag. Or maybe you did click-on one of the links I provided and got the information, but are such a douchebag that you won't admit it.

I and many others here are more than willing to help, but we expect people to at least put forth some effort. Whether you choose to admit it or not, you're the useless one here. I've helped and continue to help quite a few on this board and there are lots of comments from others about me to that effect. I also get a lot of emails and PMs' thanking me for my posts, so bite me.

As far as me being pissed that I'm in California, it's quite the opposite. I could easily move somewhere else, but aside from the lame gun laws and BS liberal politics California can be a great place to live. It just depends upon where you live. People move to California from other states and stay here much more than people moving from California to other states, and if someone doesn't like it here, so be it. I just wish they'd stop bitching about it and GTFO as the door swings both ways.

Re: Scope Rings

Well, I guess I'll boost my count one more

Let me thank you for being so much help. I guess I should hve realized I was being blessed with your knowledge. Somehow the words thank you just don't come to mind. However, you are a legend in your own mind, and will continue to justify being an ass...when it wasn't necessary. Oh, and btw I did find the specs on the back of the box. But that was prior to your post, and I found it on my own. Sorry man, I can't give you credit for helping.

Re: Scope Rings

I have no dog in it; but, I think grey shirts was more or less asking if anyone found they needed a little more or less than factory specs.....

And Aries, bro, he was just asking for ft lbs torque.... Not the code to the NASA launch sequence

Re: Scope Rings

Thank you TallShot. You actually read the question and understood what I was asking. I will apologize for my remarks aries. Maybe I just didn't word my question clearly. Anyways, thanks to those that replied with helpful information. Then again, maybe I just wanted to boost my post count one more time

Re: Scope Rings

All good man.

So, did you find you needed a lil more torque, or less? I haven't decided on rings yet for my HDMR.

Re: Scope Rings

I've got seekins rings as listed above, and seekins 20moa base. On the box the rings came in it says for ring caps 20in lds and for the ring clamps 55in lbs. From what I had read prior to posting this most said 20in lbs for the ring caps. I was just curious if others went more or less, and how it was working out. Like I said, my original post should have been worded better.
