Has anyone tried 2000mr with the 6xc. I'm not sure if it is too fast to use or not. I have had amazing results with it in a 223 with heavy bullets.

Re: 2000mr and 6xc

Ive got a 6 Creed and was wondering the same thing, as well as 4000MR. Was looking at load data for the 6mmREM and 243, Id say if they have data for those 2 rounds it would work in the 6XC & Creedmoor. What bullet would you be using?

Don't bother. If you're looking for extra velocity in 6XC, just run RE 17, you will pick up 150-200 fps over H4350 or H4831. The temp sensitivity for the Power Pro series from Alliant is nearly identical to that of RE 17 anyway. They're all triple-based high energy powder's and RE 17 is already a proven performer with that case design and the 105-115 grn bullets.

SBS, you're not telling me nothing that I dont know already, Ive got 6lbs of RE17 for my 6 Creed. But 2000MR should work, just not as well as RE17.
